Firm Resume - This law office, established in 1983, specializes in all aspects of the defense of California workers’ compensation claims, including Labor Code Section 132a and Serious & Willful Misconduct Penalty Petitions, as well as uninsured employer claims. The firm practices before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board, and all levels of the California Court system.  Appearances statewide are handled economically through the use of a private aircraft. The firm takes particular pride in the high level and quality of attention which is given to each case.  Representative clients have included a wide variety of workers’ compensation insurers and self-insured employers in California.  

Jerald P. Grainger is a Certified Specialist in California Workers’ Compensation Law, with a Juris Doctor degree in 1977 from the University of San Francisco, where he was an editor on the USF Law Review, and was admitted to the California State Bar in 1977. Mr. Grainger has particular expertise in the defense of complex workers’ compensation cases, including Labor Code §132a, Serious & Willful misconduct penalty and uninsured employer claims. He is also an instrument-rated private pilot, and uses an aircraft to cover cases throughout California.
